Presidential advisor slams western media for Islamphobia
Islamabad, Dec 25, IRNA - Advisor to the Iranian President for Media Affairs and chief of IRNA, Ali Akbar Javanfekr, on Friday slammed western media for promoting Islamphobia and Iranophobia.
“We have clear cut objective and we are supporting justice and well wisher of humanity”, said the IRNA while responding to questions by students and teacher of the International Islamic University Islamabad after he delivered a lecture on “The role of Islamic Republic of Iran in the Muslim world unity”.
He added that ‘we sometimes feel sorry for our enemies but West is pursuing unjust policies against Iran which we don’t like’, Javanfekr said.
Javanfekr said that nuclear science and technology in today’s world has sixteen applications in the fields of agriculture, pharmaceutical and industry which can be placed at the service of humanity.
“But to what advantage has the West used this knowledge? they have introduced nuclear energy synonymous to nuclear bombs and closed the access to original nuclear knowledge and do not permit us to tread on such areas”, he said.
The Presidential advisor went on to say that some use the nuclear science in a discriminatory way and ‘we are confronting this malicious and biased approach and attitude’. He said today many of the world powers see their survival in destroying other nations, humiliating peoples of the region and their main aim is to acquire knowledge to dominate the world.
“They are misusing the nuclear knowledge and have equipped themselves with nuclear warhead and try to deprive us of its peaceful advantages”, he remarked.
“We are witness to the use of materialism-based knowledge in countries like Afghanistan where innocent people are being killed and the looking of that nation’s wealth and resources continues unabated”, Javanfekr said.
He added America has looted some $30,000 billions from the pockets of certain poor world nations. “Result of such looting and plundering has itself gripped the capitalist economy of America and the West….of course, the West is becoming a victim of its own devastating behavior”, the IRNA chief said.
To another question the Presidential advisor said true science serves humanity and development. He added science renders services for prosperity and true science promotes peace and reduces class difference.
“That science which gives weapons of mass destruction cannot be called as a true science”, Javanfekr opined
To a query he said that Muslims can achieve success only if they return to their roots. “You have to give new look to your roots as our belief is the out most power”, he suggested. “You need to return to Islamic values which are your assets”, he viewed.
The IRNA chief was of the view that ‘if we are true Muslims we could stand with each other’. “We must submit ourselves in the way of Allah Almighty so that we could get his blessings”, he advised. “We need to identify impediments that we have created for ourselves”, he believed.
He said ‘terrorist acts inside Pakistan make our hearts bleed’. He added when blind and ignorant elements kill innocent people of Iran people of Pakistan feel distressed. “We are close to each other…We love each other and this is the basis of Unity”, said the Iranian official.
Javanfekr answering a question said Iran does not feel threatened from nuclear program of Pakistan. “Some Western countries are trying to create misunderstanding between Iran and Pakistan on nuclear issue by making false statements”, he opined.
“We (Mulisms) are powerful but we need to believe that we are powerful”, he added. “I went to New York with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and there we defended our legitimate rights”, he said. “We also defended rights of Muslim world”, added the Iranian official.
“You need to express your stance bravely”, he opined. “We have paid price for our freedom”, the IRNA chief told the audience.
Javanfekr stated that if economic theories are wrongly implemented they cause poverty and class distinction. “Unfortunately, today in the West we see the kind of economics that was introduced in the context of modern sciences, while in reality it is far from its original purpose”, he added.
The IRNA chief viewed that today the economy which has developed in different countries, is capitalist economy and capitalist class distinction has increased.
“America’s new economic policies and theories have eliminated the country’s gold-blacked currency base”, he stated.
Iran’s Ambassador to Pakistan Masha’Allah Shakeri speaking on the occasion said that ‘we are proud that children of Iran have realized the ideals of great Pakistani philosopher Allama Iqbal’.
“We can become icon of unity if we believe in ourselves”, he made it clear.
Mumtaz Ahmad Director General of the Iqbal International Institute of Research and Dialogue appreciated Iran’s role in world politics. He also called for enhancing the cooperation between Iran and Pakistan in the field of education.
Anwar Hussain Siddiqui, President International Islamic University expressing his views said that Muslim countries should come out of dollar dominance.
“We want to enhance more close relationship between educational institutions of Iran and Pakistan”, he said.
He added that Iran has stood up to the pressure and shown light to other Muslim nations. “We salute government of Iran and we should stand by them”, he said.
