700,000 tons of goods transit via Iran`s Bazargan

ORUMIYEH, Dec. 27 (MNA) –- Iran`s director of West Azarbaijan Transportation and Terminals Organization stated that in the past eight months 700,000 tons of goods have been transited in the country through Bazargan border point.

Babak Talebi said 10 percent of the total goods transited into the country passed through Bazargan border terminal ranking the region as the third among the country’s land borders in terms of goods’ traffic.

Various kinds of cotton, construction material, fuel and household appliances were the main items entering Iran.

Azarbaijan shares common borders with Turkey, the Republic of Azerbaijan and Iraq and is considered to be the country’s chief route to Europe.
