Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis marked in UAE
Baku, December 28 (AzerTAc). The Embassy of Azerbaijan in the United Arab Emirates has organized a ceremony to mark the Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis.
The event brought together members of the Azerbaijani community, students, employees of Al-Bayan newspaper and Aviamost magazine, as well as officials of Azerbaijan Defense Ministry, who are participating in Arabic language courses at Al-Emarat University.
Opening the event, Ambassador Elkhan Gahramanov briefed the participants on the history of the Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis.
He said this date was declared as the holiday of solidarity and national unity by national leader Heydar Aliyev.
The diplomat also read out President Ilham Aliyev`s message to the World Azerbaijanis.
The event participants saw a documentary on Azerbaijan`s foreign policy.
