Azerbaijan name squad for European weightlifting championship
Baku, January 2 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijan`s Weightlifting Federation has revealed the names of the athletes who will vie for medals at the European championship due to take place in Minsk, Belarus, early April.
Azerbaijan`s squad will include Zulfugar Suleymanov weighing in at 56kg, Sardar Hasanov at 69kg, Nizami Pashayev and Rovshan Fatullayev at 94kg.
The championship will bring together 400 weightlifters from 37 countries to compete for 15 sets of medals in 8 weight categories.
