3 more football stadiums to be inaugurated in Azerbaijan this year
Baku, January 2 (AzerTAc). President of Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan (AFFA) has said three more stadiums will be inaugurated in the country in 2011.
“We`ve already started the construction of a 5,500-seat stadium in Mardakan,” Rovnag Abdullayev told AFFA`s website.
“The infrastructure plays a key role in the process of preparing talented footballers. This is why constructing new stadiums and overhauling the old ones are among our key priorities.”
“Another stadium is being reconstructed in Bayil settlement. Its capacity is 3,000 people,” said the AFFA chief.
Abdullayev said: “We are also building a 11,000-seat stadium in the 8th kilometer settlement. All the three facilities will be inaugurated this year.”
