First ship ‘to be built in Azerbaijan in 2013’
Baku, January 2 (AzerTAc). “A first ship will be built in Azerbaijan in 2013,” said President of the country`s state oil firm, SOCAR, Rovnag Abdullayev.
“We`ve already started the construction of a shipyard, and will produce the first ship in two years.”
“We need about 150 new ships in the coming 15 years, and they will be made not abroad but at our own shipyard,” Abdullayev added.
