New US ambassador to Azerbaijan to deploy to post in January, Assistant Secretary of State

Baku, January 4 (AzerTAc). The President announced recess appointments, which include Robert Ford, Matt Bryza, Frank Ricciardone and Norm Eisen. They – I`m not aware that they`ve been sworn in yet, but I think they`ll be going through some consultations here at the State Department in the next couple of weeks before they deploy to post, said Philip J. Crowley, Assistant Secretary, in a Daily Press Briefing.
On December 30, last year, President Obama announced recess appointments to key administration posts. Among the appointments are four U.S. ambassadors - to Azerbaijan, Turkey, the Czech Republic and Syria - whose nominations were stalled in the Senate.
