MP predicts Majlis will vote for cut of ties with Britain

TEHRAN, Jan.6 (MNA)-- The plan to cut Iran’s ties with Britain should be discussed in the Majlis,Iranian MP Kazem Jalali said on Wednesday.

“The plan should be on the agenda of the Majlis and after reviewing it, the plan should be put to a vote,” Jalali told on Wednesday.

All lawmakers are irritated with Britain’s approach toward Iran so the plan will be definitely approved, he added.

On December 19, 2010, the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Committee voted to completely cut relations with London. The decision was then submitted to the Majlis presiding board.

Last year, the committee urged the Foreign Ministry to reduce the level of diplomatic relations with the British government due to its hostile attitude toward Iran and its interference in Iran’s internal affairs.
