Iranian troupe to perform in Latin American countries
TEHRAN, Jan. 6 (MNA) -- Iranian stage director Saeid Vasiqnia planned to perform his children’s play “How Unite the World” in several Latin American countries.
“We have conducted negotiations with Iran’s Embassy in Argentina and we plan to perform the play in spring 2011 in that country,” he told .
He went on to say that he plans to conduct a tour through Latin American countries as well.
Vasiqnia has staged his play at the 25th International Neapolis Children Theater Festival in Nabeul, Tunis which was held in late December 2010.
“We have omitted dialogues and highlighted acting in order to connect with international audiences in a more profound way,” he mentioned.
The troupe will also give public performances of the play in Tunis and plans to stage it in Taiwan and China.
The conductor of the Iran Theater Troupe also announced about holding educational workshops on puppetry in Iran’s Khark Island from mid January for two months.
