Over 70 films submitted for 29th Iran`s Fajr festival
TEHRAN, Jan. 8 (MNA) -- Over 70 films were applied for entry to the Iranian Films Section at the 29th Fajr International Film Festival.
The final list is almost complete, Festival secretary Mehdi Masudshahi told . The sheer number of movies would make it hard for the selection board to choose the best,he added.
The 29th edition of the festival, which is Iran’s most important cinematic and cultural event of the year, will run from February 5 to 15 at Tehran’s Milad Tower.
He also added that the non-competitive section was established last year for screening some films, and this year, they would also be screening some productions in this section.
The new good news for this year’s festival is the participation of prominent filmmakers which make the event more inspiring, he added.
He also remarked that Dariush Mehrjuii will be taking part in the competition section this year with his new production known as “The Sky of the Beloved”.
