Foreign painters to attend Persian Gulf art symposium
TEHRAN, Jan. 10 (MNA) -- Nine Painters from foreign countries will attend the Iran International Painting Symposium “From Persepolis to the Persian Gulf” from February 9 to 19.
Nine renowned painters from different countries including Italy, France, Slovakia and Mexico will participate in the event alongside the nine Iranian painters who plan to attend.
The participating artists will first travel to Shiraz and visit Persepolis, Pasargadae, Sadieh and Hafezieh. Afterwards, they will have a trip to Qeshm Island in the Persian Gulf, the secretary of the symposium Ahmad Vakili mentioned in a press release.
“Then, they will paint something based on their experiences and what they visited during their trip,” he added.
The symposium is cosponsored by the Rudaki Foundation and the Hormozgan Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance Department.
