TEHRAN, Jan. 15 (MNA)-- Director of Saudi’s Meteorology and Environmental Protection Turki bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz said that Iran’s nuclear facilities do not threaten the Persian Gulf environment.
The Saudi official has made the remarks in a recent interview with Saudi Arabia’s Al-Watan newspaper.

The remarks came as some Western media outlets have recently claimed that Iran’s nuclear facilities have destructive effects on the Persian Gulf environment
Iran’s first nuclear power plant is located near the coastal city of Bushehr which lies on the shores of the Persian Gulf.
In December, Iran completed the last phase of loading fuel into the core of the Bushehr power plant. Later, Atomic Energy Organization of Iran Director Ali Akbar Salehi announced that the Bushehr power plant will be connected to the national grid by February 20.
