Media must present positive image of Iran to the world: Iranian MP
TEHRAN, Jan. 16 (MNA)--Iranian MP Hossein Hassani said that the Iranian media must make the utmost efforts to better introduce the country and its potential to the people of the world.
Tourists’ Iranophobia and Islamophobia decrease when they visit Iran, he added.
Hassani, who is the chairman of the Majlis department for Iranian expatriates’ affairs, said, “Recently, a research study has been conducted at universities in the United States that showed (the degree of) tourists’ Iranophobia is over 90 percent (initially), but after they become familiar with the Iranian culture and the country’s progress in various areas, their Islamophobia and Iranophobia decrease to 30 percent.”
“The (Iranian) media must become more efficient day by day, and the administration and the Majlis must help them in this regard,” Hassani stated.
He also called Iranians living abroad “Iran’s ambassadors” to other countries.
