Nuclear disarmament may be raised in Istanbul talks:Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman
TEHRAN, Jan. 16 (MNA) -- Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast commented on the upcoming talks between Iran and the 5+1 group (the five permanent members of the UN Security Council and Germany) which will be held in Istanbul on January 21 and 22.
He said issues such as nuclear disarmament, proliferation of nuclear weapons, and nations’ rights to access nuclear technology meant for peaceful purposes may be discussed in the talks.
Mehmanparast added that if the talks focus on common ground for cooperation, they could yield good results.
