‘Azerbaijan`s Youth and Sports Ministry organized about 100 events in 2010’
Baku, January 16 (AzerTAc). About 100 events were organized by Azerbaijan`s Youth and Sports Ministry in 2010 with 19 of them international ones, said Youth and Sports Minister Azad Rahimov.
The Minister noted the European Youth Foundation allocated €1,4 million to 114 projects of Azerbaijan`s youth organizations, adding this is the highest indicator in Europe.
Rahimov underlined today Azerbaijani youth are represented in more than 30 leading organizations.
The Minister pointed out the First Symposium of International Relations Scholars, First Republic Fair of Innovative Ideas of Young Scientists, Youth for Ecological Development International Scientific - Practical Conference and other events were organized in the country. He said the 6th International Junior Science Olympiad was held in Baku at the initiative of President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, UNESCO and ISESCO Goodwill Ambassador, MP Mehriban Aliyeva. Rahimov added the event brought together more than 600 representatives from 46 countries.
