Iranian female MP briefs Rousseff on West’s hostile policy on Iran
TEHRAN, Jan. 17 (MNA) -- Iran`s chairman of the Majlis Human Rights Committee Zohreh Elahian wrote a letter to new Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff, briefing her on Western governments’ hostile policies toward Iran and disclosing the plots hatched against Iran by the MI6, CIA, and Mossad.
Since the victory of the Islamic Revolution, the U.S., British and Israeli spy agencies have hatched many plots aimed at toppling the Islamic system in Iran, but they have failed to achieve their goals, Elahian said.
Pointing to the political unrest following the June 2009 presidential election, she said there are evidence and documents proving that the MI6, CIA, and Mossad tried to take advantage of the political situation in Iran to help overthrow the Iranian government.
She went on to say that the embassies of some Western countries including Britain, France and Germany were involved in the post-election unrest in Iran and supported the leaders of sedition.
Elahian also criticized the Western media for hyping the case of Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani, who was convicted of adultery and murder, while ignoring the violation of human rights in the Western countries.
