Iranian ensemble to give concerts in Germany, Sweden
TEHRAN, Jan. 17 (MNA) -- The Iranian ensemble “Bal va Shan” by conductor Keivan Kianian will be giving several concerts in Germany and Sweden during this month.
The ensemble has concerts scheduled in Frankfurt (Germany), and the cities of Stockholm, Vasteras, and Uppsala in Sweden, singer Jivar Sheikholeslami told on Sunday.
She added that the group currently in Belgium gave live performances in two different cities on Saturday and Sunday.
The first concert was in Ghent and garnered prolonged applause and ovations from the public, she said.
“Our second performance took place in Antwerp followed by several compositions by conductor Kianian.
“Part of the performance was dedicated to Iranian folk music and also included several Kurdish songs,” she added.
Musicians Isar Yavar, Sonia Nezami, and Tina Pirhadi accompany the group in the international performances.
