Kazakh president to visit Iran in Noruz
TEHRAN, Jan 18 (MNA) -- Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev will travel to Iran in Noruz (the beginning of the Persian New Year ).
The Persian New Year starts March 21, 2011.
The travel will come upon an invitation by Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
During his stay in Iran the two presidents will examine ways to boost cooperation between Tehran and Astana. The two countries will also sign some cooperation deals during Nazarbayev’s visit.
The presidents of the Persian speaking countries of Iran, Afghanistan and Tajikistan met in Tehran concurrent with the Persian New Year in March 1010.
Other than Iran, Noruz is celebrated in some Central Asian republics including Kazakhstan, the Republic Azerbaijan, and the Kurdish-populated regions in Turkey and Iraq.
