Ahmadinejad calls Tehran-Uruguay excellent
TEHRAN, Jan. 19 (MNA) -- Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad stated that Iran and Uruguay enjoy excellent ties.
In a meeting with visiting Uruguayan Parliament Speaker Ivonne Pasada in Tehran on Tuesday, Ahmadinejad said cultural affinities link the two nations.
He said if nations respect nations’ cultural values, many problems will be resolved.
The president added by relying on shared cultural values such as justice, kindness, and respect, nations can boost their ties in all fields.
He went on to say that the world’s main problems are a result of mismanagement by a few arrogant powers which show no respect to other nations’ cultural values.
Pointing to the important role of parliaments in boosting cooperation, the president said parliamentary cooperation can provide a suitable ground for expanding bilateral and international ties.
For her part, Pasada said the Uruguay parliament seriously seeks strengthening ties with Iran.
