Seven new production units were put into operation at enterprises of Azerbaijan`s Defense Industry Ministry’
Baku, January 31 (AzerTAc). Seven new production units were put into operation at the enterprises of the Defense Industry Ministry of Azerbaijan in 2010, said Minister Yavar Jamalov.
According to the Minister, these units, established to supply the Armed Forces with modern defense products and the national economy with the devices and spare parts used in machine building, instrument-making industry, electric engineering and communications, are working at full capacity.
Jamalov noted the production of the defense goods increased by 2.4 times and civil products by 7.3% at the enterprises of the Ministry in 2010.
He pointed out the Ministry of Defense Industry was closely cooperating with more than 60 companies from 20 developed countries in the area of aviation, navigation, instrument-making.
