Baku hosts Azerbaijan-Greece intergovernmental commission`s third meeting

Baku, February 2 (AzerTAc). The third meeting of Azerbaijan-Greece intergovernmental commission on cooperation in economic, industry and technological spheres has been held today here.
Addressing the event, co-chair of Azerbaijan-Greece intergovernmental commission, Industry and Energy Minister Natig Aliyev said the intergovernmental commission plays important role in development of relationship between Azerbaijan and Greece.
Aliyev noted the trade turnover between the two countries had increased recently by $ 160 million.
Co-chair of the intergovernmental commission, Greek Deputy Foreign Minister Spiros Kuvelis said the two countries had great potential to develop bilateral cooperation.
Kuvelis noted his country was interested in cooperation with Azerbaijan in energy, agriculture, transport, tourism, healthcare and other spheres.
Kuvelis also underlined the importance of construction of Turkey-Greece-Italy and Greece-Bulgaria gas pipelines. He added the construction of these pipelines would give an opportunity to Greece to play the role of a reliable corridor.
During the meeting the sides signed a protocol of the intergovernmental commission.
