Georgian professor Giuli Alasania named honorary doctor of Odlar Yurdu University
Baku, February 4 (AzerTAc). Pro-Rector of the International Black Sea University (IBSU), professor Giuli Alasania has today visited the Odlar Yurdu University (OYU) where he was awarded an honorary doctor diploma.
Speaking to the ceremony, rector of OYU, MP Ahmad Valiyev highlighted the University`s activities and international relations.
Valiyev praised the education cooperation between Azerbaijan and Georgia. He expressed belief that cooperation would be established between OYU and Georgia-based higher education institutions.
Then, the rector read out the decision of the OYU`s Scientific Council to name Giuli Alasania an honorary doctor for her special services towards strengthening friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia and expanding international scientific and education cooperation.
Giuli Alasania made a speech at the ceremony. She thanked the Scientific Council for honoring her with the honorary doctor diploma.
Alasania expressed confidence that relations between the two countries would deepen in all spheres, particularly scince and education.
