Iraqi Cabinet endorses 2011 budget: 96.6 trillion dinars
Baghdad (NINA) - State Minister and government spokesman, Ali Debbagh, said the cabinet endorsed the Federal Budget during it exceptional session held Sunday, Feb. 6.
In a statement, Debbagh said the total budget is 96.6 trillion dinars (about 82,5 billion US dollar); 66.6 trillion dinars of it is operational, while, 30 trillion dinars will be allocated for investment, adding, "the total income is 809 trillion dinars, considering the exportation of 2.2 million BPD of oil under the price $76.5 per barrel, including 100.000 BPD exported from Kurdistan."
He continued "the cabinet decided to authorize the Minister of Finance to borrow ($4.5) billion from the International Monetary Fund, and ($ 2) billion dollars from the World Bank in addition to the use of special drawing rights, as well as of the loan granted by the (BP) Company of ($500) million to cover the expected deficit."
