Turkish glass maker Sisecam opens its 5th factory in Bulgaria

TARGOVISHTE (A.A) - Turkish glass maker Sisecam, which is Bulgaria's biggest foreign direct investor, has opened a new factory near its facilities in Targovishte.
Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov inaugurated the factory which will manufacture autoglass for car makers in Europe and the Balkans.
In his speech at the inauguration, Borissov said Bulgarian government would continue to support investments to revive the country's economy.
Sisecam's Chairman of the Board of the Directors Ahmet Kirman said the company's investments in Bulgaria reached 405 million USD, with another 400 million USD of investment planned for the future, urging the Bulgarian prime minister to remove obstacle before investments.
Sisecam's new auto glass factory will create 130 new jobs. It will produce autoglass for automakers like BMW, Audi, Ford, Renault and Peugeot, with an annual capacity of 1.3 million square meters.
