Tehran-Damascus ties are strategic: Syrian president
TEHRAN, Feb.9(MNA)--Syrian President Bashar al-Assad described Tehran-Damascus relations as strong and strategic.
Al-Assad made the remarks in a meeting with visiting Iranian Presidential Office Chief of Staff Esfandiar Rahim-Mashaii in Damascus on Tuesday.
The Syrian president also called for the expansion of ties in all areas, saying it will serve the interests of Iran and Syria as well as other regional countries.
The two sides also discussed regional and international developments.
Mashaii also said that there is great potential to be utilized to increase cooperation between the regional nations.
