TEHRAN, Feb.9(MNA)-- In a telephone conversation on Monday, Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi and his Turkish counterpart Ahmet Davutoglu exchanged views about the ongoing developments in the Middle East and North Africa.
Salehi and Davutoglu called for continued consultations about the regional issues and highlighted the importance of remaining vigilant especially as the Zionist regime is seeking to take advantage of developments in the Middle East and North Africa.
Many Arab and African countries including Egypt, Tunisia, Jordan and Yemen have been the scene of anti-government protests over the past month, leading to major political changes in these countries.
The two officials also discussed bilateral ties and expressed their satisfaction over the recent meeting of the Iran-Turkey Joint Economic Cooperation Commission in Tehran.
