IMPLICATIONS WILL HAVE TO BE STUDIED BEFORE MAKING CHANGES IN MALAYSIA

"There are pros and cons for shorter or longer hours of trading. All implications will have to be scrutinised before a final decision is made," she told reporters after delivering a keynote address at the RAM Annual BondConference 2008.
"I think Bursa together with us will have to look at all the implications.
I can't say yes or no without studying the implications," she said.
It was reported in the Star yesterday that stockbrokers and remisiers have recommended shorter trading hours on Bursa Malaysia in view of the currentlacklustre market conditions.
