Iranian team wins Iran’s Freestyle Wrestling Championship
TEHRAN, Feb. 9 (MNA) -- Iran`s Juybar wrestling team claimed the title of Iran’s Freestyle Wrestling Championship on Tuesday.
Juybar wrestling team defeated host Naft of Tehran 4-3 at the Hafte Tir Hall and stood on the podium.
“This is the first time that a team from Mazandaran (province) wins the championship. We defeated a strong team in the final game and deserve the title,” Juybar coach Mahmoud Esmaeilpour said.
Gaz of Mazandaran finished in third place by beating Omid of Mashad 5-2 in the bronze medal match.
