Lithuanian pianist performs in Baku
Baku, February 11 (AzerTAc). Lithuanian pianist Muza Rubackytė performed together with the Azerbaijani Chamber Orchestra in the concert marking Lithuania's Independence Day on Thursday here. The orchestra conducted by People`s Artist Timur Goychayev played the pieces of music by Azerbaijani and foreign composers.
Visiting Azerbaijan Lithuanian Seimas Speaker Irena Degutiene attended the concert.
Addressing the event, Lithuanian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Kestutis Kudzmanas provided information about the declaration of Independence of Lithuania by the National Council of the country on February 16, 1990. He said he is proude to celebrate this day with Azerbaijan nation and representatives of international community here.
An exhibition of renowned Lithuanian artist M. K. Čiurlionis was also organized on the occasion.
