Direct reduction plant comes on stream in Iran
TEHRAN (MNA)- Iranian first vice-president accompanied by the industry minister inaugurated the direct reduction plant at Khorasan Steel Complex, which is the greatest of its kind in east of the country.
The new unit has an 800,000 ton (can go up to 900,000 ton) capacity.
The plant has created direct and indirect jobs for 2000 people.
$150 million has been spent on the plant in which all stages including drafting, building and commissioning were carried out by Iranian contractors, consultants and specialists.
