UNHCR, Azerbaijan Ombudsman keen in co-op
Baku (AzerTAc) - Human Rights Commissioner of Azerbaijan Elmira Suleymanova has met with Arun Sala-Ngarm, representative of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees in the counrty.
The sides discussed ways of expanding cooperation on protection of the rights of refugees and IDPs.
E. Suleymanova spoke of what had been done by the Ombudsman Institute to solve social and economic problems of refugees and IDPs and ensure and protect their rights.
Arun Sala-Ngarm praised the progresses achieved in Azerbaijan to improve the living conditions of refugees and IDPs. Sala-Ngarm noted he was interested in cooperation with Azerbaijan`s Ombudsman Institute and also stressed the importance of mutual relations.
