Azerbaijan`s Customs Service presents its cynological service in Brussels

Baku, February 12 (AzerTAc). A delegation of the State Customs Committee attended a World Customs Organization`s global canine workshop held in Brussels.
The State Customs Committee presented its canine training center, which provided drug detector dogs to customs services in Bulgaria, Moldova, Turkey and Macedonia.
Chairman of the workshop Pierre Bertrand praised what he had seen in the center in Baku.
Azerbaijan, Czech Republic, Hungary, Argentina, Italy, Russia, Belgium, Indonesia and China presented stands featuring their cynological services.
Speaking at the event, Kunio Mikuriya, Secretary General, World Customs Organization said there is the need in dog experts in the customs field. He informed about the decision to designate 2011 as the WCO Year of Knowledge with the theme: "Knowledge, a catalyst for Customs excellence”.
