Cooperation between Azerbaijani, Iraqi NGOs discussed
Baku, February 14 (AzerTAc). Chairman of the Council of State Support to Non-Governmental Organizations under the Azerbaijan President, Azay Guliyev has met today Iraqi ambassador Heydar Shiya Gubeysi al-Barrak.
The discussions focused on prospects for cooperation between NGOs of the two countries.
The ambassador said Iraqi government`s relevant structures were interested in studying Azerbaijan`s experience in activity of NGOs sector, NGOs legislation, NGOs-government relationship.
The diplomat underlined the necessity of establishment of cooperation between the two countries` NGOs.
Guliyev, in turn, briefed the ambassador on what had been done in his country to develop the NGOs sector and strengthen civil society.
