Plan drawn up to tighten border security: Iranian interior minister
TEHRAN, Feb.15(MNA) -- Iran`s Interior Ministry drew up a comprehensive plan to tighten the security along the country’s borders, Iranian interior minister announced on Sunday.
The plan has been announced to the governor-generals of all border provinces, Mostafa Mohammad Najjar told reporters in Tehran.
It is being implemented along the eastern, southeastern, and northwestern borders and will be put into effect along the entire borders of the country, he added.
Najjar also announced that physical barriers including canals and barbed wire fences will be built along the borderlines.
