TuranBank starts cooperation with USAID on rural crediting and leasing
Baku, February 15 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijan`s TuranBank develops successfully its activities to widen international relations and starts cooperation with USAID.
TuranBank became one of the organizations selected for Azerbaijan Competitiveness & Trade Project financed by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), the Bank said.
The main objective of this project is to improve business environment and tax legislation, liberalize trade and support agrarian sector. The project term is three years.
Technical assistance for TuranBank will be rendered within two years in two phases.
The project aim in TuranBank is to improve loan products for the agricultural sector, advanced training and technical knowledge of loan officers in the field of assessment and monitoring of the business of farmers.
The project also includes improvement of leasing products of TuranBank`s subsidiary company TuranLizinq.
Currently TuranBank is cooperating with several international and local organizations within technical assistance projects. Among them are the projects on corporate governance and risk management with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and Financial Services Volunteer Corps.
