Iranian Majlis speaker criticizes organizers of protests
TEHRAN,Feb.16(MNA)-- At the open session of the Majlis on Tuesday, Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani delivered a speech in which he strongly criticized the organizers of the protests .
He stated that those who organized the demonstrations did so in order to claim that the crisis that has spread through the countries ruled by dictators has engulfed Iran as well.
Larijani added, “This anti-revolutionary move indicates the U.S. anger over Iran’s support for freedom movements in the region and it is not something new.”
After Larijani’s speech, the lawmakers chanted “Down with the United States,” “Down with Mousavi, Karroubi, and Khatami.”
Larijani also called for the formation of a special committee to study the nature of the anti-revolutionary groups.
