FIRE RAZES MOTOR-BIKE FACTORY IN KARAWANG, WEST JAVA
Karawang, W Java, Aug 16 (ANTARA)- A fire razed dozens of motor-bikes in a factory of PT Kanzen Motor Indonesia at Pancawati village, Klari sub district, Karawang district, West Java province, at 05.30 local time Saturday.
There was no report of fatalities in the fire but material losses were estimated at hundreds of millions of rupiah.
"We have still have no idea what caused the fire," Adang Sjahir, head of Ciptakarya's fire-fighting division, said here.
Five fire trucks were deployed to put out the fire.
Sjahrir also said at least 37 fires had happened in the January-July 2008 period in Karawang district.
