PRESIDENT YUDHOYONO's FIRST GRAND DAUGHTER BORN
Jakarta, Aug 17 (ANTARA) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono's first grand daughter was born at 6:21 on Sunday morning in conjunction with the 63rd anniversary of Indonesia's independence day on August 17, 2008, presidential spokesman Andi Malarangeng said on Sunday.
"Alhamdulillah (Thanks God) President Yudhoyono's first ever grand daughter was born at 6:21 this morning at Pondok Indah hospital in South Jakarta, and it certainly adds the happiness of the president's family," Malarangeng said over his cellular phone.
Malarangeng said President Yudhoyono's family on Sunday was happy to observe the 63rd anniversary of Indonesia's independence and to have the first ever grand daughter whom they have longed for.
According to Malarangeng, President Yudhoyono's immediate family members were present outside the delivery room where Anisa Pohan, Yudhoyono's daughter-in-law, gave birth to her first baby daughter through cesarean operation.
