Azeri grandmaster ranks 1st in world blitz championship qualifying

Baku, February 18 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijani grandmaster Shahriyar Mammadyarov has finished first in the qualification tournament for the world blitz championship in Moscow, Russia.
Ukrainian Ruslan Ponomariov ranked second, followed by Russian Dmitry Andreikin and Evgeny Tomashevsky.
The total prize fund of the Swiss system tournament was € 36.000.
