Iran could hire Portuguese Queiroz as advisor
TEHRAN, Feb.19(MNA) -- Former Portugal coach Carlos Queiroz told Iranian football officials that he is interested in working with the national team as a consultant, according to Director of foreign relations of Iranian Football Federation(IFF) Abbas Torabian.
“We kept in touch with Queiroz and he suggested working with Iran football team as a consultant. Nevertheless, we didn’t accept his offer,” Torabian said.
“We are optimistic that he will accept our offer and take charge of the team. But first, we have to assure him that he won’t have any problem in Iran,” he added.
Carlos Queiroz has already written to IFF that his decision will not change and he was forced to refuse the job due to private matters.
