Foreign ambassadors visit Iran`s Fajr festival art show

TEHRAN, Feb.22(MNA) -- A group of foreign ambassadors and cultural attaches in Iran visited the 3rd Fajr International Festival of Visual Arts which is underway at Niavaran Cultural Center.

French cultural attaché, as well as ambassadors of Austria, Croatia, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Poland, Turkey and several more were among the visitors.

Iranian Deputy Culture Minister for Artistic Affairs Hamid Shahabadi and a group of Iranian artists including Iranian actors Farhad Aiish and Davud Rashidi, Iranian filmmaker Hassan Fat’hi, and Iranian musician Shahin Farhat also accompanied the guests.

The Niavaran Center is displaying a selection of earthenware, poster and ceramics, as part of the festival.

Tehran’s Museum of Contemporary Art, the Iranian Artists Forum, Saba Art and Cultural Institute, Tehran’s Palestine Museum of Contemporary Art, along with the art centers in 20 other provinces, are hosting the festival.

Six foreign countries of Austria, Italy, Syria, France, the Netherlands and Ghana are also joining Iran in displaying Iranian visual artworks during the festival.

A collection of 1600 artworks are on display in the different categories of Islamic art, new art, and exhibits by veteran artists.

The festival will conclude on March 4.
