PRESIDENT ATTENDS FOREIGN MINISTRY ANNIVERSARY FUNCTION
Jakarta, Aug 19 (ANTARA) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono on Tuesday morning attended a function marking the Foreign Affairs Ministry's 63rd anniversary at the ministry's building on Jalan Pejambon in central Jakarta.
At the function, traditionally called "Foreign Policy Breakfast", the President was accompanied by First Lady Ani Yudhoyono.
Also present at the event were United Indonesia Cabinet members, ambassadors of foreign countries in Jakarta, state institution leaders, and Muhammadiyah chairman Din Syamsuddin.
Initiated by then foreign minister Ali Alatas, Foreign Policy Breakfasts have been held by the ministry to mark its anniversary since 2002.
At Foreign Policy Breakfasta , the invited guests can raise foreign policy issues and discuss them with the government in an informal atmosphere.
