Commemorative events on Khojaly genocide held in Czechia

Baku, February 25 (AzerTAc). A meeting has been held in Masaryk University of Czechia`s city of Brno as part of the Justice for Khojaly campaign.
The event was co-organized by the Azerbaijani National NGO Forum and International Diaspora Center (IDC) with support of the Council of State Support to NGOs under the President of Azerbaijan.
Professor of the Brno University of Technology, Oldrich Sasinka spoke of the Khojaly genocide – the gravest crime of the 20th century and Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict.
Other professors Ivan Meznik and Frantichek Chapka briefed the event participants on the history of the Khojaly tragedy.
A documentary on the Khojaly massacre was demonstrated during the event.
The event was attended by chairman of the IDC, Ismayıl Agayev, deputy chairman Vagif Arzumanli, president of the National NGO Forum, Rauf Zeyni, chairwoman of the friendship group on the Czech-Azerbaijan inter-parliamentary ties, Gular Ahmadova and IDC`s representative on Europe Azar Karimov.
Another event to mark the Khojaly tragedy`s anniversary was held in Brno University of Technology.
Several commemorative events on the genocide will be organized in Prague and Vienna, as well.
