Regional conference on geographical names due in Tehran
Baku, February 26 (AzerTAc). The 9th regional conference of Geographic Names of the United Nations Asia South-West Division will be held in Iran`s capital Tehran on Sunday.
The conference will bring together experts from eight countries of the South-West Asia.
A delegation of Azerbaijan`s State Committee on Land and Cartography will attend the conference.
The conference discussions will feature registration of geographic names during 2008-2010 and works done to establish of the State Catalogue and defining documentation for the 26th session of the United Nations Group of Experts on Geographical Names to be held on May 2-6 in Vienna, Austria.
