Turkmenistan hosts conference titled “Ecological aspects of Trans-Caspian pipelines”
Baku, March 1 (AzerTAc). “Ecological aspects of Trans-Caspian pipelines” conference arranged by the Ministry of Oil and Gas Industry and Mineral Resources of Turkmenistan was held in Ashgabat on Monday.
Three hundred representatives from 20 countries, as well as, representatives of the Ministries of Industry and Energy, Ecology and Natural Resources, Foreign Affairs, Transport of Azerbaijan, Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, delegations from a number of European countries, international organizations, USA, UK, Germany, France, Austria, Norway, South Korea, China, Canada, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Turkey, UAE participated in the event.
In the conference, Turkmenistan is represented by the heads and leading specialists of the ministries and departments, State Concerns, the Academy of Sciences.
Experts discuss issues of observation of environmental requirements and standards for exploration and exploitation of hydrocarbon resources of the Caspian Sea. Particular attention is paid to the review of regional and global experiences in construction of underwater pipelines, and, in particular, the application of international experience in construction of pipelines in the Caspian Sea.
