Abdullah bin Zayed receives Cyprus Foreign Minister
Abu Dhabi, March 1, 2011 (WAM) - H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister yesterday received Cyprus Foreign Minister Markos Kyprianou and the delegation accompanying him. During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations and ways to support and strengthen them. They also exchanged views on current regional and international issues.
At the end of the meeting, Sheikh Abdullah and Markos Kyprianou signed an agreement to avoid double taxation on income between the two countries.
The agreement aims to achieve economic balance between the UAE and Cyprus, which contributes to the enhancement of cooperation and partnership in various fields of economic, trade and tourism and the development of air transport industry, especially that Cyprus is a member of the European Union and is considered the bridge between East and West.
The recent and other agreements signed by UAE comes within the framework of the federal government strategy aimed at promoting trade and investment relations with Arab and foreign countries. - Emirates News Agency, WAM
