Iranian beach football finds way to quarter final of Asian Games
Muscat, March 1, IRNA – Iranian National Beach Football Team beat Syria here Monday evening, to reach the games quarter finals.
The Iranian side beat Syria spectacularly five-nil to become one of the eight quarter finalists of the games.
Ali Naderi, Moslem Mesigar, Mohammad Ahmadzadh and Farid Belokbashi (2 goals) scored for Iran in the game.
Iran is to face Japan Beach Football team on Tuesday and beat them to become the top team of Group Two.
Gorup One is comprised of Oman, China, Kuwait and Group Three includes Bahrain, Emirates, Uzbekistan and Indonesia.
The three top teams of these games get the ticket to the World beach Football Championship, scheduled for the fall season of 2012 in Italy./end
