Iran, Algeria call for continued consultations

Geneva, March 2, IRNA -- Iran's Foreign Minister Ali-Akbar Salehi and his Algerian Counterpart Mourad Medelci on Tuesday called for continued consultations between both countries.
The talks were held on the sidelines of the meeting of the Human Rights Council and UN's disarmament conference underway in Geneva.
Both foreign ministers reviewed the latest regional and global developments and called for developing cooperation in political, economic and cultural arenas.
Meanwhile, Salehi held talks with his Swiss and Dutch counterparts in Geneva.
Salehi, heading a high-ranking delegation, arrived in Geneva early Monday to attend the meeting of Human Rights Council and UN's disarmament conference.
Foreign Ministry's director general for International relations and lawmaker Mohammad Karamirad is accompanying Salehi.
Salehi will also meet with the other foreign ministers participating in UN's Human Rights Council.
The 16th meeting of UN Human Rights Council opened on Monday. It will work until March 26./end
