Iran's Deputy FM arrives in Islamabad

Islamabad, March 2, IRNA – Deputy Foreign Minister in Asia and Oceania Affairs arrived in Pakistan on Wednesday morning to attend a political consultation committee meeting with Pakistani officials.

Mohammad Ali Fathollahi is to discuss issues of mutual interest with Deputy Foreign Minister Salman Bashir and Assistant FM Haroun Shoukat.

Bilateral, regional and international issues, especially Afghanistan are to be discussed in the meetings, Fathollahi said.

The senior diplomat also said Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi is to visit Pakistan next week to attend the 18th joint economic commission meeting in Islamabad./end
