"Ahmadi", "Argentine Santa Fe" sign twinship deal

KUWAIT, March 2 (KUNA) -- Ahmadi Governorate signed here on Wednesday a twinship agreement with the Argentine province of Santa Fe to promote and support joint cooperation in all areas and to serve the overall relations and enhance communication between Kuwait and Argentina.
The signing ceremony of the agreement was attended by a number of senior officials of Ahmadi Governorate and the Minister of Priduction who has been deputized by the Governor of Santa Fe Juan Jose Perto.
The agreement came to implement the principle of twinship between the cities and promote the philosophy of direct diplomacy and cooperation between cities and governorates in different countries for the sake of strengthening the role of these agreeme nts to consolidate and deepen the bonds of brotherhood, friendship and activation of social relations, trade and industry and to increase cooperation in the cultural field, exchange of information and experiences between officials and workers in various fields.
The agreement also aimed to exchange visits to learn about scientific developments and specialized training programs in several areas and benefit from shared experiences in the field of culture, ceremonies and various events.
Ahmadi Governor Sheikh Dr. Ibrahim Al-Duaij Al-Sabah told reporters after the signing that this visit comes following the visit paid by the Governor of Santa Fe Dr. Hermes Binner to Kuwait a few months back in response to an invitation extended by the Government of Kuwait.
He asserted the two governments are eager to bolster cooperation in all fields, adding that such agreements encourage both sides to deepen their bilateral friendship relations.
For his part, Perto invited Al-Sabah t o visit Santa Fe to get acquainted with the most important industries produced by the province.
